Aim & scope

Biomedical Engineering International (ISSN 2668-6007) is an interdisciplinary international scholarly, platinum open access journal for the publishing of reviews, original research papers, communications, and short notes. We want to create a comprehensive platform for scientists to exchange information on the newest subjects in Biomaterials, Coatings and surface functionalization, Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, Drug delivery systems, Medical and surgical devices, Molecular and cellular engineering, Biomechanics, BioMEMS, Medical imaging, Microfluidics, Micro- and nanotechnology, Neural engineering, etc.

Readership

(Bio-) Chemists, (Bio-) Engineers, Material Scientists, Biologists, (Bio-) Physicists, Information Technologists, and Theoreticians are welcome to use Biomedical Engineering International as a communication tool. Interdisciplinary articles (from multiple fields) are preferably considered for publication.

Unlimited publication space

No restrictions on the total length of the papers is applied, as one important aim of Biomedical Engineering International is to encourage detailed experimental and theoretical research, such as full experimental and/or methodical details which are required. Computed data or files regarding the full details of the experimental procedures can also be deposited as Supplementary Material.

Scientific interchange for free

Articles are free for readers (Platinum Open Access) and no article processing charges are required from authors, neither from their institutions. Publication fees are covered by AMG Transcend Association.

Rapid publication & high scientific standards

Biomedical Engineering International (ISSN 2668-6007) is an international peer-reviewed platinum open access journal published periodically.

Biomedical Engineering International is dedicated to a high scientific standard, as all manuscripts undergo a rigorous reviewing process and decisions are based on the recommendations of independent reviewers. Manuscripts undergo a peer-reviewing process and a first decision is received approximately after 14 days after submission; acceptance for publication is undertaken in 3 days.

High visibility

The journal will be indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), Scopus, Chemical Abstracts, Google Scholar, etc.

Scopes

The scope of Biomedical Engineering International comprises all the directions of interest for the development of (pre-) clinical applications that could improve the quality of life, from tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and drug delivery systems, to microfluidics, neural engineering, and micro- and nanotechnology.
